How it works.
In most cases we simply negotiate a plea on your behalf.
The legal fees quoted assume that you will plead "nolo contendere," which means you are not pleading guilty, but you will not contest the ticket. In most cases a moving violation like a speeding ticket will be reduced to a non-moving violation, like a parking ticket and the fine will be reduced as well.
Procedure to be followed.
We accept citations for plea negotiations issued in the jurisdiction of the following courts in Clark County:
- Las Vegas Municipal Court;
- Las Vegas Justice Court;
- Henderson Municipal Court;
- Henderson Justice Court;
- North Las Vegas Municipal Court;
- North Las Vegas Justice Court;
- Boulder City Municipal Court;
- Boulder City Justice Court;
- Laughlin Justice Court;
- Goodsprings Justice Court;
- Searchlight Justice Court;
- Moapa Justice Court;
- Moapa Valley Justice Court;
- Bunkerville Justice Court;
Please Contact Us for a free case evaluation if your case is in any court in Nevada not specifically named above.
Once you have submitted your ticket information you will need to pay the retainer fee before we will start work on your case. You may pay online with a debit or credit card. If you prefer, you are welcome to stop by our office. We accept cash, debit or credit cards in the office. We will not represent you in your traffic citation case unless you pay the retainer up front, no exceptions.
The legal fees listed are for one to three minor violation citations listed under one case number (not DUI, Reckless, or other serious violations) that are not in warrant. Legal fees are what we charge to handle your case. You will still need to pay the court fees and fines directly to the court.
If "Mandatory Court Appearance" is marked on your ticket, please be advised that the legal fees may be higher. We see tickets marked as mandatory appearance quite often in cases that are not mandatory appearance. Once we have had a chance to review the details of your case, or to make contact with the court, we will let you know if the case is truly a mandatory appearance case. Legal fees may be higher for tickets issued in Nevada jurisdictions outside of Clark County, or by Federal Law Enforcement. We cannot accept cases that are filed in tribal courts or anywhere outside of Nevada.
For DUI, Reckless Driving, multiple violation citations (more than 3), cases in warrant status, different jurisdictions or if you do not see a payment option for your case, please call us. In most cases we can evaluate your case the same day and let you know how much the legal fees will be.
Please be sure you give us your current contact information including your name, mailing address, email address and phone number. If you move or change your contact information, it is your responsibility to let us know.
It is your responsibility to give us anything we need to help fight your citation, for example, proof of insurance, proof of residence, etc. If you do not provide this information, we will assume that you do not have it and we will not be able to get you the best possible deal.
Unless told otherwise, if given the option, we will always select the option that does not involve traffic school, even if the fine is higher. Please note that traffic school is not always an option, and in some cases it may be required.
When you submit your case information online you are creating a "user account" on the website. You will be able to log in using the citation number and password that you entered on the registration form. All status updates and communication concerning your case will be posted on your case profile. It is your responsibility to log into your case profile to check the status. We will send you an email letting you know that the case status has been updated and that you need to log in to check the status. Depending on your email settings, the emails that we send may go into your spam folder, or they may not be delivered at all. It is your responsibility to log into the website to check the status of your case. Please note that if you call and ask for the status of your case, we may not be able to tell you over the phone. We may ask that you log into the website to obtain the case status. Once we have completed the negotiations for your case we will post the outcome on your case profile page that will let you know what you owe the court in the way of fees and fines as well as any violation amendments. If you do not pay the fees and/or fines to the court, a warrant may be issued for your arrest and the negotiation will be void, in other words, the original charge may go on your record and you will have paid us for nothing.
Fees are earned when paid. We reserve the right to reject your traffic case at any time, for any reason. If we do not accept your case, any fee that you have paid will be refunded in full.
We will post a confirmation that your case has been accepted on your case profile within two business days of your submission. Your case will be deemed rejected if your case profile has not been updated after two business days.
We will do our best to keep you updated on our progress. However, if you haven't heard from us in a couple of weeks and want to know the status of your case, please send us an email. We will respond to your emails as soon as possible. You are also welcome to call, but due to the nature of our office, it may take longer to respond to telephone calls than it would to respond to emails.
Remember, there is no guarantee of any particular outcome for any case.
